1. Audio Transducers: Microphones & Speakers

Audio devices rely on transducers, which convert energy between physical sound waves (acoustic) and electrical signals.

A. Microphones (Sound Input)

Converts sound waves into electrical signals for the sound card.

  • Dynamic Mic: Uses electromagnetic induction (moving coil inside a magnet). Rugged, handles high volume, needs no power.
  • Condenser Mic: Uses electrostatic capacitance (moving diaphragm plate). Highly sensitive, requires +48V Phantom Power.
B. Speakers & Headphones (Sound Output)

Reverses microphone operation to convert electrical signals into physical sound.

  • Working: Amplified current flows through a voice coil, causing an attached cone to vibrate and push air.
  • Audio Jacks: 3.5mm TRS (Stereo sound) and TRRS (Stereo sound + Mic channel).

2. Projector Technology & Working Principle

A video projector receives image data from a PC graphics card and uses an internal light engine to project it onto a wall or screen.

Types of Projectors

Type Core Mechanism Key Advantages
3LCD Projector Light passes through 3 separate LCD panels (Red, Green, Blue). Vibrant color brightness, zero color flashing.
DLP Projector Light reflects off a DMD chip with millions of micro-mirrors and a spinning color wheel. Deep contrast, compact size, dust-sealed optics.
LCoS Projector Combines LCD panel control with a reflective silicon backing. Ultra-high resolution (4K/8K), highest image quality.

3. Quick Troubleshooting Guide

  • Overheating / Sudden Shutdown: Blocked air filter or fan failure. Clean air filter regularly.
  • Dim Image: Projection lamp nearing the end of its operating lifespan (EOL).
  • White / Black Dots on Screen: Defective micro-mirrors on a DLP DMD chip.

  • Transducer: Converts energy from one form to another (e.g., sound to electricity).
  • Phantom Power: +48V DC power required for condenser microphones.
  • DLP / DMD: Digital Light Processing / Digital Micromirror Device.
