1. Introduction to Loudspeakers
A loudspeaker is an electro-acoustic transducer that converts electrical audio signals into mechanical sound waves. Alternating electrical current flowing through a coil inside a magnetic field creates vibrations that displace air to produce audible sound.
2. Key Components Breakdown
- Permanent Magnet: Creates a fixed magnetic field surrounding the voice coil.
- Voice Coil: Fine copper coil suspended in the magnetic gap that reacts to AC audio signals.
- Diaphragm (Cone): Large paper/plastic surface attached to the coil that vibrates air to generate sound.
